With MagicWebsiteMaker it is possible to add page content, edit the text with simple font style options, add images and documents (word, PDF's etc.), link images and text, and link to media such as YouTube videos, Flash, Quicktime and PayPal shopping carts.
Below is an image of the editing toolbar found on every page after you login. These are your editing tools.
To get an idea of what these tools can do, mouse over the icons above while in edit mode and the name/use of the tool will popup.
Tool icons (image below) that may need explanation are numbered: #1. Undo / Redo - If you make a change you don't want to save and would like to go back to the pre changes state click "Undo" Very helpful tool! #2. Insert / Edit Image - Add images either with a url to one already located online elsewhere or upload your own. #3. Insert / Edit embedded media - Place a video on your page by linking to media already located online elsewhere. (YouTube etc.) #4. Show / Hide table Icons - Click on this icon to access table insertion and editing tools for precise page formatting. #5 Insert / Edit link - Upload and link to PDF"s, Word Documents, Forms, html pages that can be downloaded/printed by viewers. #6 Edit HTML Source - If you have knowledge of source code .... #7 Insert PayPal code - Use this tool to insert button code when designing your own Shopping Gallery. #8. Paste From Word - When a page is formatted in "Word" - this takes out the extra Word code that is unnecessary. #9. Spell Check #10 Show/Hide Special Icons - You can click on the "Show/Hide Special Icons" to see additional icons for editing font size and style in your page content. The expanding Editing area tool will allow you to see more of your page content editing area. #11. Using the "Insert/edit link" tool (#5 above):
You can link to a file, image or web page that already exists on the Internet. This tool also enable you to upload your own documents (pdf, word, html) for your viewers to download and/or print.
Highlight the text or image that you wish to be the clickable link.
Click on the Link icon, enter the Link URL, and then click Insert. OR...
Click on the link icon, then click on the browse/upload icon and upload your own document to link to...
How do we embed or insert objects like: PDF's, word documents, html documents?
"Insert/edit link" tool (#5 above) also allows the user to upload files (PDF files, Word Documents etc...) to a private area on the server and link them to an image or phrase your website page.
To use this option - create a title and highlight the title text or select an image already located on the page. The ghosted/faded link icon then is clearly visible and clickable - a popup window appears that will enable you to browse on your own computer for the document , to browse click the browse icon - - then upload the file(s) click the browse tab toselect the file you wish to link. This option works with PDF's, Word Documents, mailto Forms. (please refer to "Insert Image tool" page for a more detailed description of the browse and upload process- the popup windows are exactly the same - the image "Browse" tab shows your uploaded images and the link "Browse" tab shows your uploaded documents)

The text editing tool bar has an image upload option (#2 above) and a link option (#5 - link option only available when text or an image is highlighted). The link option enables you to add a link to both text and images.
